Classic Design Jewellers opened its doors on the 2nd of July 2004.
A small boutique store creating an atmosphere where the customer can take a seat in the lounge area and feel at home while, with the help of Chris, design and create a piece of precious jewellery that will last them a lifetime.
As the years went by we realised that we had outgrown the space. We needed a larger store but still wanted to keep the quality of one on one service with our customers.
In July 2012 the store moved to 1/91 Manning Street, Taree. Located between Taree's two shopping centre hubs making visiting Classic Design Jewellers more convenient for our customers.
With the ability to display more exquisite pieces and having a much larger workshop, staff has also been increased.
We now have another qualified jeweller and a diamond setter in store.
Also in January 2014 Chris took on his son as his apprentice and Nik finished his apprenticeship in January 2018 and is now dividing his time between working in store and also at a jewellery store in Newcastle.
In October 2018 Classic Design Jewellers moved to its current location, 21 Manning Street, Taree which coincidently is the same premises where Chris worked for many years after completing his apprenticeship.
For the last 30 years manufacturing jeweller, Chris Mylonas, has been creating unique and one of a kind pieces for his clients all over the Manning Valley and Australia wide.
Chris is able to manufacture jewellery the old fashioned way, by hand, to create your unique and individual pieces that you have a part in designing and creating with him every step of the way.
His workshop is out in the showroom floor so at anytime you can see him at work. This has built up a trust with all clients being able to see at all times what work is being carried out.
Deidre has been a familiar face in the jewellery industry in Taree over the last 20 years. We welcomed Deidre in June 2016 and she is here to help you with all your jewellery needs.
Nik has joined the family business and in January 2018 completed his apprenticeship..
He completed his first three years of his apprenticeship by attending Enmore Design Centre in Newtown one week a month where he learnt jewellery design and manufacture.
He is currently on the bench doing repairs and contributing to custom makes in our store and also in Newcastle.
